Move Better. Hurt Less. Perform Longer.
One-on-one Human Biomechanics coaching in the Cleveland and surrounding area.
Meet Your Coach
I'm Sophia Kopasakis, a movement coach with 10 years of experience helping people move better, reduce pain, and build lasting strength through individualized training.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Cleveland State University in 2015 and became certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in 2019. Over the past 3.5 years, I've specialized in the Functional Patterns methodology, combining evidence-based exercise science with biomechanics-focused training to improve movement quality, coordination, and long-term function.
Whether your goal is to overcome chronic pain, improve athletic performance, or simply move through everyday life with more confidence, my focus is helping you build movement that lasts.
My Movement Journey
Movement has shaped nearly every stage of my life.
As a youth and teenager, I competed at a high level in cross country and track, winning races and setting school records. After a traumatic foot injury altered my running mechanics, I shifted my focus to long-distance cycling, where I continued developing my endurance and athleticism.
While earning my degree in Exercise Science, I immersed myself in strength training and learned the principles of progressive overload before becoming a competitive collegiate club rower, where I helped set collegiate records. Throughout those years, I also spent countless hours performing in Greek dance groups, played competitive Greek basketball, and continued exploring different forms of movement.
At 25 years old, I discovered the world of fire performance and movement arts, which challenged me to develop coordination, balance, timing, and body awareness in entirely new ways.
Despite decades of athletic experience, by the age of 28, I found myself dealing with persistent pain and movement limitations. It became clear that being fit wasn't the same as moving efficiently.
That realization led me to the Functional Patterns methodology.
Through biomechanics-based training, I learned to slow down, become more intentional with my movement, and address the underlying patterns contributing to my discomfort instead of simply pushing through them. As my own movement improved, I became so passionate about the process that I began training with a Functional Patterns practitioner and was eventually hired as a coach.
Today, I combine everything I've learned—from competitive athletics and movement performance to exercise science and biomechanics—to help others move with less pain, greater confidence, and long-term resilience.
Pain isn't always caused by weakness—it's often the result of inefficient movement.
As a Human Biomechanics Specialist and Functional Patterns practitioner, I help people address the underlying movement patterns that contribute to pain, stiffness, and dysfunction—not just the symptoms.
Using biomechanics-based training, we'll restore efficient movement, improve posture and coordination, distribute force more effectively throughout your body, and help you build resilient, pain-free movement that lasts.
Who I Help

Posture & Alignment
Feel better in everyday life. Improve how your body organizes itself for standing, walking, and daily activities.
Athletic Performance
Move efficiently. Perform at a higher level. Develop better coordination, force transfer, and resilience.
Long-Term Health & Longevity
Build a body that lasts. Maintain strength, movement quality, and independence for years to come.
"I've noticed significant improvements in my core strength and the way I move throughout everyday life. I've learned how important core stability and shoulder positioning are to overall function, and most importantly, I've gained the confidence that with consistency, I can continue improving my body for years to come."

"The biggest change I've noticed is my ability to stabilize myself when I start to stumble or lose my balance. That's when I really realize how much I've improved. I also no longer experience the lower back pain I used to get after a long workday or a long walk."
